Adjusting your myhrtoolkit account after changes in holiday legislation

Written by James Lawson | Apr 3, 2024 9:54:16 AM

There are changes to the legal framework governing the pay component for holiday years beginning on or after the 1st of April 2024.  These apply to certain types of workers.

The new legislation changes affect particular types of workers; irregular hours and part-year workers.

Reintroducing rolled-up holiday pay for irregular hours and part-year workers

This change enables the use of rolled-up holiday pay for part-year workers, as well as those who work irregular hours.

Reintroducing the 12.07% of hours worked calculation method for irregular hours and part-year workers

For the same groups of workers, the new legislation reintroduces the 12.07% of hours worked calculation.

Of course, the myhrtoolkit system manages the time element when it comes to holidays, whilst the pay element is generally managed through payroll systems.

However, if you wish to adjust your myhrtoolkit account to better reflect some aspects of the new rules, read our new guide here: Changes to holiday legislation April 2024 - Adjusting your myhrtoolkit account.
