Linked post - Mind: changing attitudes in HR

Published on February 27, 2013 by Fiona Sanderson

When we tweeted a link to a blog post from mental health charity Mind we received a lot of feedback. In fact, of all the links we’ve posted in recent weeks, this received the most retweets and comments. Previously a no-go topic, it seems that attitudes to mental health in the workplace are changing, and for the better.

In her post, Alison Chisnell, HR Director and passionate blogger, wrote about her experiences of blogging about mental health and ways businesses can take strides towards improving the support available to employees.

"Stand-alone initiatives on mental health are less important than integrating mental wellness into existing support and training to reduce stigma and create a better work environment."

HR software and systems are not the only areas to address when it comes to a establishing a positive work environment. A highly recommended read, you can find the blog on the Mind website from the HR Juggler.
