Howarths is a consultancy based in Cleckheaton who provide specialist HR, Employment Law, and Health & Safety advice and support to other businesses. We spoke with Finance & Operations Director, Tracey Hopkins about how offering HR software has helped their company.
How has partnering with myhrtoolkit benefited your business?
Partnering with myhrtoolkit has allowed us to introduce our clients to a software system where they can set good foundations for building on their employment relationship with their team. Our having that link with the software helps us to strengthen what our clients already have and help them build, grow, and become more successful.
What do your clients like about the software?
The software is very easy to implement, staff enjoy using it, and it’s just a great way of managing employee records and relationships very efficiently. It’s a simple and a quick way of ensuring communication is delivered company-wide, across many people and departments.
The holiday calendar and request system, for example, is absolutely perfect. As is the sharing of company-wide documentation; it’s just so easy to upload those documents and new policies on the system, send them out, and then get the notifications and the record there that people have opened, read, and understood the document.
How do you introduce myhrtoolkit to your clients?
When we’re introduced to new potential clients, we would ask questions around how they record their employee data. At that point, we would introduce myhrtoolkit as a bolt-on to our service and explore whether that’s something they feel they would benefit from at that stage. We promote myhrtoolkit to our existing clients too. Basically, when we have issues where people don’t have employee records, we say a simple system like myhrtoolkit would add real value to their organisation and help with situations going forward.

It’s seamless. It’s so quick and easy to recommend.
I like that as providers myhrtoolkit are very open and honest with fee structure. The contract is month by month and very fair. Also, the set up and training that you guys provide is great. It doesn’t take too much of our time to introduce the software; once we pass on to the Sales team, we don’t have to worry about it because we know our clients are in safe hands.
