How have UK SMEs adopted the 4 day working week?

Episode 1 of myhrtoolkit's Small Business Scoop

"As the CEO of the business, it's about making sure that you've got people who are pulling together - there's a lot of power in that, a lot of opportunity for an organisation to really harness this collective purpose and collective vision."

- Dave Newick, arken.legal

How could the 4 day working week work for small businesses? With the growing popularity of the 4 day work week globally and the recent start of a UK trial, this way of working has become a very relevant topic of conversation in the British business community.

In myhrtoolkit's first ever Small Business Scoop, we've sat down with three small business leaders (from the legal, marketing, and creative industries) to learn why they adopted a 4 day working week and how it has increased productivity and employee wellbeing in their teams.

A huge thank you to our interviewees: Kevin Beamers from Italic Pig, Louise Wright from Punch Creative, and Dave Newick from arken.legal, and also to our interview Kathryn Wilson.

"I'd encourage more people to follow, it will become the norm, it doesn't have to be this huge thing that seems impossible, you just have to make it work for you."

- Louise Wright, Commercial Director, Punch Creative
