This guide applies to controllers who have just signed up for myhrtoolkit and are trying to login for the very first time. To get to this stage, you would have completed a new client form, your details have been processed by myhrtoolkit, and a you would have received a welcome email like one in the image below. The email has a unique web link that you need to proceed.
- Click on the link sent to you in your welcome email.
- Read and agree to terms and conditions to proceed
- Enter your details
- Confirm your date of birth
- You must change the temporary password to proceed. You can also change your username to anything you like as long as someone else is not using that name in the toolkit. If this happens, just keep trying different names. It is perfectly acceptable to use your email address for your username. .
- Click on to proceed to the setup stage
You are now ready to setup and populate your toolkit
The welcome letter emailed to you has a link that you need to login. If the link in the letter is blue, you can just click on it to open it in your browser. Some users will find that this link is not blue in their email clients because html was turned off. There is no need to panic. Highlight the whole link, then copy and paste it in your browser’s address bar. It is important not to miss out any characters when highlighting because you will get a ‘page not found error’ in your browser. Success here will bring you to myhrtoolkit terms and conditions page. Read through the terms, click on the box at the bottom to accept the terms before clicking on thebutton.
The screen that follows the terms and conditions allows you to specify your title and preferred name. The preferred name is optional but the title is not. Complete the form and click onwhen done.
The system will now challenge you for a date of birth. Enter the one you gave us when you signed up before clicking. You will not be able to go past this stage until you have confirmed your date of birth.
After successfully entering a valid date of birth, you will see a message advising you that your login has been successful. Follow the link provided to change the temporary password that we created for you.
At the password change screen below, you set both your username and password. You will need to select a unique username; it could happen that the username you require has already been taken by someone also using myhrtoolkit. In that case, our advice is to just keep trying until you find one that is free to use.
Ensure your password is ‘strong’ and memorable to you.
There are guidelines on the page as to what makes a good password as well as requirements for a username. Usernames must be a minimum of 8 characters in length. They can also contain letters and numbers.
Clickingwill complete your login, and take you to the setup screen shown below. You have successfully logged into myhrtoolkit and are ready for setup.
